Screening
The staff at Physical Therapy of Los Gatos has made a commitment to reducing the number of ACL injuries suffered by young athletes in our community. Working with coaches and parents, we're donating our time and clinical expertise to conduct ACL injury risk assessment screenings which quantify each athlete's risk of ACL injury according to objective criteria and enable athletes and parents to consider prevention strategies from an informed perspective.
Each screening program is conducted as a fund-raising activity for a specific sports team. The team coach or another adult team representative helps us get the word out to team athletes, their parents, and others.
Participation in any screening program is not limited to members of the team. Teams can raise additional funds for their own programs by inviting other athletes to sign up for the screening program.
Physical Therapy of Los Gatos requests a twenty-dollar cash donation and a completed reservation form for each athlete prior to screening. For each screening reservation payment received, Physical Therapy of Los Gatos will make an equivalent donation to the team that has chosen to sponsor the screening. These funds may be used to pay for team expenses such as uniforms, equipment, and travel.
Physical Therapy of Los Gatos conducts four screening programs per year. Please visit the Contact page to request information on sponsoring a screening program fund-raiser for your team's athletes.
